Rail Cargo Club meets Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority

On 2.10.2013, the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority hosted a meeting with representatives of the Rail Cargo Club (RCC), an organization of Austrian forwarders specializing in rail transport. The organization operates under the patronage of Rail Cargo Austria, a national rail transport company of Austria.

The guests came to Szczecin to meet the Seaports Authority, Council of Szczecin Seaport Stakeholders and stevedoring companies. The meeting focused on exchanging information and opinions regarding potential for cooperation with ports of Szczecin and Świnoujście.

The visit started with a meeting at the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority which comprised a presentation of services offered and investment opportunities in Szczecin and Świnoujście, ports development program and major investment projects in progress. Stevedoring companies, members of the Ports Stakeholder Council, presented their offer which was followed by a presentation delivered by companies grouped in the Rail Cargo Club.

After the information part of the meeting at the premises of the Seaports Authority, the guests participated in a cruise trip by Odra Queen around the port to see various activities there.
The RCC meeting may translate into growing volumes of cargo handled in the ports. The guests highly appreciated investment projects implemented and growing potential of the two ports.
