A modern logistic center to be developed soon in the Szczecin seaport

Waimea Logistic Park 1 Sp. z o.o., a member of the Waimea Holding S.A., is going to build a modern Waimea Logistic Park – Port Morski Szczecin in the Szczecin seaport.

Waimea Logistic Park 1 Sp. z o.o. submitted a bid for the tender announced by the Seaports Authority to lease the plot of land and build a modern logistic center in the port of Szczecin. The project, previously referred to as the Western Pomerania Logistic Center (WPLC), intends to provide for developing and running of customs warehouse and storage, duty free zone, logistic services to companies and light production.

On 8th October this year, a preliminary contract was signed and sent for approval to the Polish Ministry of Treasury. The process will lead to the signing of a 30 year lease contract, after which the investor will apply for a building permit and start the investment. According to the objective of the tender, the Logistic Center includes modern warehouses of total surface area 40,000 m2.

Changes to the TSL sector on the Polish market show a major potential of Western Pomerania. In response to the ever changing and growing needs of that market, one of logistic developers decided to tender and submit their bid for the long-term lease of 95,120 m2 of land between Hryniewieckiego and Kujota streets in the port of Szczecin and build a modern logistic center that meets top storage standards. More importantly, the investment will create new jobs in the city and the region. The Waimea Holding S.A. investment will be implemented as a part of their multimodal projects scheme.
