The Labour Environment Laboratory, operating at the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority, widened its accreditation with methods applicable for testing water and sewage.

New container cranes

Two RTG – 35 gantry cranes will soon start operating at the container terminal in Szczecin. The new equipment includes eight wheel cranes of 128 t each.

Baltic action week

During the annual Baltic Action Week, the ITF inspectors checked 23 ships of different flags in Szczecin and Swinoujscie. Only in one unit under the flag of the Bahamas the shipowner did not sign a collective agreement with the sailors.

Common training of german and polish firemen

On 9th November 2008, firemen of the Berlin fire brigade and the members of high-altitude firefighting and rescue team no. 3 from Szczecin performed training on the ‘EWA’ silo.
